Delighted to be invited to talk on ABC radio as a subject matter expert about the evolution of our relationship with clothes, sparked interestingly, by a question about the humble petticoat.

Working with clients as an image and style coach, I am reminded daily of our lack of education on how to dress our bodies and our personality to match our lifestyle and that is resulting in a very damaged relationship with clothes.

In this interview, I talk about the evolution of how we use clothes and our relationship with clothes and what we need to learn to improve our relationship with clothes.

In my mission to educate people on sustainable style, I took 20 of my clients to volunteer at the @anglicarewa warehouse.

4 out of every 5 garments donated are unsellable. Its time we accounted for the waste we donate and get real about the impact its having.

NOMINATION TO COMMUNITY CITIZENS AWARDS 2023

My work as the Style Counsellor helping hundreds of people do, look and feel better has been recognised with a nomination for Community Citizen of the Year.

Through my education programs of colour analysis and personal style profiling as well as my guest speaking events, is teaching people about mental health and sustainability. It is enough for me that this work is being valued and so many people are benefiting – I did not see this coming!

I was invited as an industry expert to talk to the ABCPerth about the number of emerging enterprises around preloved clothes – why it’s happening and where it’s going.

I talk about the landscape of excess of clothing and where Australia ranks in terms of global ‘clothing waste’. Stop “hauling and hoping” as I call it – and use a stylist (like me) to help you learn how to have “More Style with Less Stuff”.

Thanks to the Eastern Metropolitan and the progressive work they have invited me to work with them on help change the Perth landscape of textile waste.
